Christmas 2011 from the Miller House

This year is a great year, two of our grandchildren graduated from High School, both Ashley Greer and Dennis Miller are now attending college. Of course being the modest “people” we are, we hereby with a trumpet fanfare, announce the birth of our first great grandson, James Daniel Golden 111 “Tripp,” born to Danny and Casey Golden. The proud grandmother is Diana Dawn Miller Erickson.

 
A highlight for Doug this year occurred on the floor of the GNJAC when he appealed to the Conference to support the flying ministry in the North Katanga Conference in the Congo, called, “Wings in the Morning.” There was an overwhelming response. The amount raised at the conference was close to the $200,000. It was a flash mob scene that continued for 45 minutes. The Bishop was moved to tears and said, “He had never seen anything like that in his lifetime.” I continue to work at the Psychological Center for Psychiatric Services. as a Psychotherapist and also help with the musical programs in Doug’s two churches-Barryville, NY and Dingmans Ferry, PA. We are blessed to be serving two wonderful congregations. They are the most loving people in all creation. This year Doug participated in the Red Bird Mission Trip to Beverly Kentucky, basically working on broken homes. He will return for a third year on July14-21th with a Team of 120 pilgrims under the leadership of Mike McKay and Steve Bechtold. Our Delaware River Bunch will have a crew of 20 lean machines.

Today we celebrate our sixteen grandchildren, and Tripp our great grandson. We rejoice in Danny, Dave, Dougie, Amy, Kyle, Shaun, Ashley, Emma, Olivia (Libby), Annie, Dennis, Audrianna, Julissa, Vanessa, Mary Darin and the fireball, Briggs.
